We are currently seeking self-motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Agents (Level 1 and Level 2) to join our team.

Job Overview:

This is an independent contractor role, commission based. We are looking for results driven individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit looking to build a career in the mortgage industry. You will be responsible for business development, client outreach, building referral partners and acting as the first point of contact to borrowers with a focus on understanding their mortgage needs while educating them along the way. You will be supported by our in-house underwriting team and experienced leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Interaction: Assist clients in gathering necessary documentation and information for mortgage applications. Provide initial consultations and answer questions regarding mortgage products and processes.
• Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, application statuses, and other relevant information using company CRM systems.
• Application Processing: Review and organize client documents to ensure completeness and accuracy. Assist in preparing and submitting mortgage applications to lenders.
• Compliance: Ensure that all mortgage transactions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in mortgage regulations and industry trends.
• Deal progression: Handle all deal related tasks, managing client follow-ups, and coordinating with lenders, lawyers, realtors and other stakeholders to bring a deal to closure.

Qualifications:

• License: Mortgage Agent Level 1 or higher (if previously licensed)
• Education: Undergraduate degree in finance, business, or a related field is an asset.
• Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a related field is preferred but not required. Experience in the financial or real estate sector is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software is an asset.
• Certification: Completion of a Level 1 Mortgage Agent course (if newly licensed)
